We have socials after every race and various other social events throughout the year, along with an Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony over the winter. All members are invited to attend all socials even if you don't race that day!

Go to the Sign up page to volunteer to bring food to one of the post-race socials at Whittaker Pointe Marina. Dinghy Sailors celebrate at Bow to Stern with beer and snacks after the race.

  • JAM and Spinnaker - Around the Buoys - Race #8

    • Neuse River, Oriental, NE of SC1

    Logistics:

    Spinnaker boats and jib and main (JAM) boats gather on the Neuse River off of Oriental, NC, generally north east of SC1.  The course is marked with ODC inflatable marks, and Spinnaker and JAM fleets will have separate starts.

    The first warning signal will be at 13:00 for the spinnaker fleet, with the JAM fleet starting shortly thereafter.  JAM fleet should stay clear of the starting line until after the spinnaker fleet starts.

    We will run up to 4 races each day of racing.

    Please let us know who is coming by signing up here so we know who to expect. Pass this along to other sailors so we can have a nice turnout.

    • Trailered boats can be launched at the wildlife ramp at  301 Midyette St, Oriental, NC 28571.  Changing facilities and limited charter boats are also available at Bow to Stern.

  • Oriental Cup Regatta 2025

    Save the dates for Oriental Cup Regatta, October 10-12 (the race is on Saturday).  Hosted by the Nautical Collective of Oriental (NCO) sailing clubs, this event supports youth sailing and swimming programs. It combines races for all levels, good food, live music and a fun awards breakfast on Sunday.   Registration is not yet available, but you can find out more about the event at https://orientalcupregatta.com/.
